Just Meg and I went to Walmart and instead of santa claus this year
they had guys from star wars. Meg got to hold the bell to make her
feel better. It didn't work. When we were walking to the car Meg said
"mom I hate that man". I couldn't help but laugh. Meg is so cute with

Dear Family & Friends,

The year is almost at an end and it has been a great year for our family. Milo was born February 4 and he is now 10 months old. At 5-6 months Milo would sit at the bottom of the stairs and just pat the bottom step, then with no warning or any hint that he would be able to climb the stairs I found him in the hallway on the second floor. I was out of the room for no more than 5 Minutes when I noticed he was no longer on the main floor. Crazy baby Milo.

Milo has been trying to walk for the last month or so and is getting better at it, he is now taking 4-5 steps without falling. He is very much a boy!! He eats like a boy, he sure can put that food away. Milo also loves his dad's electronics. He loves the remotes, computers and phones. I wonder what if he will be a computer guy like his dad.

Meg is a sweetheart. She loves her big sister Mia and follows Mia's footsteps. Meg has to go everywhere Mia goes and play with the same things Mia plays with. In a lot of ways they can be the same. However, Meg is very different than Mia. Meg is more shy and dose her very best not to smile at anyone or talk to anyone she doesn't know. Just like in our family picture; she will not smile. We don't have any family pictures with Meg smiling. I can get her to smile if it is just her and mom. Meg is a daddy's girl, I have never seen a little girl that loves her dad so much. We are so excited that Meg is now potty trained. She started potty training on Nov. 30^th and it didn't take long at all for her to catch on. She reminds me that she gets a sticker for her chart after every time she goes potty.

Mia doesn't have a shy bone in her body. She will go up to any person and say hi. She is so good at making friends with everyone. She loves being apart of her mom's daycare. Mia has grown up so much in the past year. She knows how to color in the lines and dose great in our preschool. She is a perfectionist, if her work isn't just the way she wants it she will throw it away and insist on starting over. Mia loves to help take care of her baby brother. Mia is a BIG show off, when new people come over she gets so hyper and is jumping off the walls. She loves to show people what she can do. She loves praise and love. She can shut right down if someone is mad at her or disappointed in her. She loves music and is always wanting to dance and sing to the music.

Hyrum has had a very busy year with his job. Earlier this year he applied for a new position in the company he works for. He got the position as a new pen tester. Over the past year he has been studying for the CISSP certification which he took on Nov. 20^th. Hyrum loves his new job and is a true workaholic, but we love him.

I (Sylvia) have been loving my job as a stay at home mom to my kids and also other kids who have parents that need to go to work. We have a great preschool and kids that keep our house busy from 7:30am to 6:00pm Mon- Fri. I currently have 14 kids that come to my house every week. I was able to hire a nice girl to come help me in my daycare. She is a great help to me and it's nice that I get adult interaction everyday.

We are also excited to announce that I am pregnant and due Aug. 4, 2011. But I always have my babies a week to 2 weeks early so this is going to be a July Baby!! Hyrum and I are very excited to share our birthday month with our new baby.

Milo's rash have been getting worse. It seems to get better then after
he eats it gets really bad again. It is so hard to find time to take

Mia is getting to be my very big girl. She is a sweet heart and a
mommy's girl. She is a perfectionist when it comes to her art
projects, abc's, and 123's. If it doesn't turn out just how she wants
it then she will if up if you don't give her a new paper to start all
over with. She loves dancing and singing and loves playing with her
friends.

Last week I noticed something wasn't quite right with myself. So I took a pregnancy test. It came out Negative. So I let it go and I told Hyrum it was negative. (He was some what relieved.) Two days later I was still thinking I could possibly be pregnant. I really didn't think I was at all, I was just being hopeful. So I had the thought to dig through the trash and look for the pregnancy test that I taken a couple of days earlier, just to reassure myself that I was really not pregnant. I found the old test and looked at it again, there was a very faint line that said I was pregnant. I was completely shocked. I must have staired at that pregnancy test for a while. I didn't know what to do. It was about 7am and Hyrum was still home getting ready for work. I was really nervous telling him because we agreeded that we would wait longer before we had another baby. So at 7am I started cleaning like crazy. I was cleaning bathrooms and toliets. Hyrum was thinking I was going crazy because I never clean that early in the morning. I asked Hyrum if he wanted to do something special with me this week just the two of us. That night I took my girls to my moms house and Hyrum and I stayed home and I made us a candle lite dinner. I put the Possitive Pregnancy test underneth Hyrum's napkin with the spoon on top of the napkin. He goes to start eating and notices that there is something there. He looks at it with a very puzzeled look on his face and realizes what it is. He was just as shocked as I was. I completly understand what he was going through becuase I was really shocked my self. I had all day to get over it and now that it was the end of the day I felt like it was old news to me plus now I was really excited and so ready to have another baby. Hyrum was just sitting there for a really long time just staring at the marks that said I was pregnant. I was just being so paitent with him. I was waiting for him to catch up to where I was. So I kept waiting. Finnally he gave me a kiss and said he was very happpy too. We talked about names and some ideas now that we were having another baby. It really did turn out great. I am about 6 weeks into my pregnancy now. My due date is Febuary 14... But I hope I don't have the baby on that date. I am so excited and so happy that I am not working anymore. I am ready to have a boy. We will see!!!

Last year Mia was Hannah Montana for Halloween. Ever scene then she has been talking about it. She is very random with it too. She will go weeks with out bring it up and then out of no where she will say, " Guess what mom, I be Hannah Montana for Halloween." It makes me laugh every time time she says it.

The girls love going over to the club house and watching movies. We try to go over once a week. We have so much fun. It's so nice that we have a club house that we can just walk to. It's always nice to have a change in scenery.

Anthony and Missy had a open house and they invited their friends and family to come see their new house. We were very excited to go see their house and get to spend time with them. Mia was also very excited to see her cousin Zoe.
Missy did a great job with decorating her house. I love how she did her pictures. I think it looks great.

The kids had a fun time playing together and so did Hyrum. lol
I really wanted Hyrum to take a nice picture with me when we were there. But no, HYRUM wouldn't smile with me. So if you can't beat him join him. :)

Meg had a grand time with Sammy. She patted him on the head a lot. We had to keep telling her to be soft. She was just trying to love him and then she was get overly excited and start hitting him. I thought it was pretty cute.
Dave and Heidi were their too. I had to get a picture of her. I am very glad I did because I just learned that they are getting married. Hurray Dave is getting married. Everyone in the family is very happy about it.

I took my time switching the girls car seats. Finally in the middle of February Meg moved from her baby car seat to Mia's car seat. Then Mia got a nice pretty pink car seat. She was so excited. She said, "Wow mom where did you get it?" and I said, "from wal-mart." Mia said" I like wal-mart."
What a cute girl she is. She thinks it is so much fun to get new stuff.

Sleep over with Zoe

Zoe Mia's cousin came over and they had a sleep over. They had so much fun together. Zoe lives far north so Mia dose see her very often. Mia was very happy to finally have a sleep over with her.

I love my little monkey!! She is getting so big. This whole winter she has hardly been sick. I am so grateful because it hard when kids are sick. Hyrum on the other hand has been sick alot. Poor Hyrum. Now just the other day Meg got a very nice cough. Here I was thinking we were going to get through the whole winter with out been sick. But at the same time I can't complain because Meg really isn't that sick at all. She just has a cough

You must admit that my girls totally look like sisters, they get everything from their dad.
The last few days Mia has been giving us giving us a difficult time. Before when we would tell her to do things (like pick the toys up and put them away), it would take her a some time but before too long she would do it. Now every time I ask her to do anything she will just say "I can't". It takes her forever for her to do anything. I am not liking this faze that she is going through. It's driving me crazy.
Meg on the other hand is very obedient for a one year old. She is very good at doing things at we ask her to do. She is so pleased with her self for it. Even when Meg doesn't want to do things that we ask her to she will still do it. But she will cry about it.
It's crazy how completely different they are.

Hyrum's Story with Meg.

Hyrum was in the kitchen with Meg when Hyrum was trying to find Meg something to eat. Meg starting playing in her sippy drawer while she waited for her dad to get her something to eat.
Let me just say before I go on with the story that I love the idea of her own drawer. She stays out of all the other drawers and when ever we are in the kichen it gives her something to do . Hyrum did a great job on this picture with the cup in mid air.
Meg came up with the idea to balanence the blue cup on the side of the drawer. Hyrum said that she tried three times before she actully got it to stay. When she saw that she got it to stay she was very pleased with her self. She had the biggest smile and was laughing. Then she look off running.

I have never been so scared

Feb. 17th...Today was a hard today for us. I didn't have to work today so I was able to say home with the kids. Mia was sick with a cold. Meg was so not her self today. She was crying all the time and she always wanted to be held. I was having a hard time with both of them today. Because Hyrum was working late my mom said that she would come over to be with me and the kids until Hyrum got home at 7pm. By 6:45 pm Meg was so tired I just got her ready for bed and by 7pm I put Meg in bed. Then the weirdest thing happened. Meg got beyond MAD. Just because I put her in bed she started screaming like you could not believe. She was screaming so much she turned purple. Then when she ran out of breath I was waiting for her to take a big deep breath in. But she didn't, it was only a very shallow breath in. Then after that she just stopped breathing all together. I totally freaked out. Everything that I learned about CPR went right out the door. All I knew was that my little Meg was not breathing. I called out to my mom, "MOM, Meg isn't breathing. .... She isn't breathing." My mom didn't know what to do either. The only other thing I could think of to do is to take Meg next door to my very good friend Becky. (She lives like 2 steps away from my front door, we share a front porch.) I banged on her door then walked in and yelled, "Meg isn't breathing .... She still isn't breathing." Becky said, "ALRIGHT" and
took Meg flipped her upside down slapped her back and finally Meg took a big beep breath and started crying. It was so scary. I have never gone through anything like that before. We kept her awake for a while to get color back in her face again. After a while she started playing and she was completely fine. Few minutes later Meg had a phone that I didn't want her playing with so I took it away. You would not believe it.... She did it again. She got so mad at me for taking away the phone that she started screaming again. This time wasn't as bad but she did stop breathing again. Not for as long because we knew what to do. After that she was just fine.
a few Minutes later she was so tired she just went to sleep.
It had been a crazy night. I have learned a great deal of personal stuff. I am staying home from work on Wednesday just to make sure she really is alright.
I hope she never dose that again... that little stinker

Josh comes over on Tuesdays

On Tuesdays Mia and Meg's cousin Josh comes over every Tuesday. Mia loves to play with Josh. It's kinda funny because come Monday Mia just about always asks me when Josh is coming over. It's like she knows that it's been a while scene Josh was here last.
Their favorite thing to play is house. They get out all the food and dishes and baby dolls.
We love it when Josh comes over. We have so much fun with him. They are so good at entertaining them selves.

The thing that I find so funny about all this is that Mia only plays this way when Josh comes over. I guess it's not as much fun to play house with your self or with your little sister Meg.
I just love it when they play together because they have great imaginations and it is so much fun to watch them play.

Poor Meg!! The bigger kids won't let her play. I always hear " Meg, No give that back." Then I next thing I hear is Meg crying.

I do think it's cute that Meg wants to play with them. Meg wants to play with the food and dishes just like Mia.

Meg is my little angel. For being a year old she is so good at listening and obeying. Most of the time when Hryum and I tell her to do something she will do it. She dose have her times when she is a little stubborn and she will not do it.
The other day she got a can out of the garbage and Hyrum told her to go put it back in the garbage and so she did. She walked back over to the garbage and put the can in... then looked at us, and took it out again. lol I laugh so hard I thought is was so funny. I really feel like she dose her best to listen and to obey us.

It has now been over a month that I have lost my wedding ring!! Hyrum took me ring looking today and I we went to about 5 different stores. I didn't find anything that I liked at all. So I got on line and I found this ring. I haven't been able to stop thinking about this ring. I love it. My husband loves me so much that he said that I could have any ring I want. (I'm sure if he knew the price of this one he would change his mind. lol)
We will see what we do. I do really like this ring a lot!!!!

Happy Valentines Day Hyrum

For Valentines day Hyrum took me out to a extremely nice restaurant in SLC. I had a great time talking and having a great time with each other. I was very impressed with what Hyrum did for me for Valentines because he planed everything out. He picked the place and made a reservation. He got a baby sitter for the kids and Hyrum didn't tell me anything. It was a complete surprise to me when we walked in the doors at Flamings. Hyrum had a big steak and I had a vegatables. The best part about the whole thing was that we were able to talk forever!

I just want to tell him that I loved him and I had a great time. Hyrum thank you so much for doing that for me. Thank you for all that you do for me and the kids. You are the best Husband and father. I would do anything for you. I am so glad for the love and understanding that we have for each other.

Shout for Joy, Mia is Potty trained

Yes, that is right Mia is completely potty trained. The thing that pushed her was that she really wanted that "puppy that swims". I changed the rules a little and I told her that as soon as she went poop in the potty we would go to wal-mart and buy that "puppy that swims". Just last week on Feb. 3rd Mia sat on her potty and pooped. I was thinking that he was going to poop in her panties before I would get her to go in the potty. She completely amazed me that she did it so well. Then right after We went to wal-mart and we bought the "puppy that swims". It took my a while to find it because I didn't really know what I was looking for. Mia helped me find it.

The Next time She went poop she did it all by her self. She just went in and sat on the BIG potty and when she was done she called out to me. "Mommy I went poop".... I was thinking that she didn't go in the potty but I was amazed then I saw that she actually went poop on the potty all on her own. She has been so great ever scene. She was completely potty trained in 4 days. Thanks to the "Puppy that swims". The funny part about the whole thing is that the puppy only worked for like a day. So we returned it back to Wal-mart and Mia didn't want the puppy any more so I got her a baby doll instead. I was fine with it because the doll was $25 less than the puppy was.
She worked so hard to get that puppy and she played with it really hard for about a day. Now we don't have it anymore. lol
I am glad that she did want something bad enough to get her potty trained. It is so nice to just have one kid in diapers. Now that I know how to potty train I hope it will be easier to train Meg.
We shall see.

Right now I am potty training Mia. Oh YES it is a blast let me tell you.
I have been having a hard time getting her interested in using the potty. Finally Mia has an interest. She saw a toy on TV that is a "dog that swims". Now I didn't actually see this toy and it may not even exist. Mia really wants this toy so I told her if she can go potty every day and fill up her potty chart we would go get that "dog that swims". Again I don't even know what it looks like. We are going on our third day of potty training and she was doing really good until we went to church. Normally in the past when I would try potty training Mia she would get so frustrated that she would end up crying and screaming for her diaper. I gave up because I could not force her to use the potty. So this time around when ever she got frustrated she basically reminded her self that she wants that "dog that swims" and she hasn't given up. I think this is going to be it. She is finally going to be potty trained.
I do have to admit, I need some help. I am not sure how to get Mia to poop on the potty. Dose anyone have any suggestions?

Our working Life.

I have been looking through the baby pictures of Mia and Meg. I think it is crazy how fast 3 years has gone. Before I got married and had kids 1 year would go by so slow. Being Pregnant with Mia went so slow. However I am excited with how fast my kids are growing up. It's so nice that Mia is growing up because she can start entertaining her self and Meg. For example Meg has her own room with her baby toys but I don't see her playing in there very often. Meg is always playing with her big sister Mia. Mia loves it, even when Meg doesn't want to play Mia is always asking Meg to come up stairs and play. I am very glad that I had 2 kids close together. It was kinda hard for me to grow up with no siblings and no one to play with or fight with when ever I wanted. :)

Hyrum has been working very hard. He works long hours any where from 10 to 11 hours a day. He works for a local company as the Support Call Center Manager. The company has been expanding so much. He started working more hours so that he could train his 37 new people for the tech support department. During that time he was working 12hr or more a day. He ended up quiting school because it was too much for him to try to keep up with school, work and family. It has settled down a little now but he is still working very hard.

Right now I am working for Sydney financial Group. I am just working part time. I never thought that I would want to get a job. But sometimes it's hard being a mom and it's nice to have a brake sometimes and go to work. Hyrum didn't want me to get a job because we didn't need me to go back to work. I went to work because I wanted to get really good at what I love to do. Which is to talk to people and also help people. I love my job so much that if I could I might work as much as Hyrum does. :)
I Love my kids and I love spending time wtih them. I am so glad that I can have Hyrum and my mom watch them while I go to work. I am with the kids every afternoon so I don't feel like I am gone very much.
Meg is so smart. She has been trying to comb her own hair and put on her own shoes. She also tries to comb my hair too. She is so cute. The other day she was trying to put on her own shirt and I went to do something in the other room and when I came back I noticed that Meg did get she shirt over her head. I wish that I could have put that on video or at least got a picture of it. Oh well.

The Only things Mia wanted for her Birthday and for Christmas was Barbie' dolls. I think it is so funny because she just turned 3 years old and she already loves Barbie's. For her Birthday we went to wal-mart and I let her pick out whatever she wanted. The only thing she wanted was again ... a Barbie. I was thinking that I would have gotten her something else too but no, just the Barbie.

Meg Loves to Walk..... Before she started walking she was walking along furniture for a very long long time. I was thinking that she was going to start walking before she actually started walking. She is a very happy baby. In fact when Meg was a little baby like about 4-5 Months old she was crying a lot. I changed my diet a little and she has been doing a lot better. We love her so much.

Our new thing is to play games all the time. Because that is the only way she will listen to me. lol

The Only thing we have been up to is figuring out a sleeping schedule for the girls so that can sleep at the same time. Meg is learning how to go to sleep on her own and she is sleeping much better. Hyrum is so happy that Meg is in her own bed now. He threatened me that he would start sleeping on the couch.
Mia is being Mia with her cute little way of dealing with life. She is our little DRAMA QUEEN. She keeps things going for us. She is learning things really well. I think that she some times gets bored with me so here very soon she is going to start going to preschool. I am thinking by Fall she will be going to preschool. It will be so good for her because her little mind never stops going.
Meg and Mia play so well together. It makes me wish that I had a sister. Meg loves Playing with Mia which surprises me a little because Meg is still a baby to me. Speaking of which.... Meg has been walking for about 2 months now. Her Birthday is this Saturday Jan. 24 and she will be 1-yr-old. It is very exciting.
Mia just had her Birthday on Jan. 8 and she is now 4 years old. Even though she gives us some curve balls some times, she is doing much better then when she was only 2-yrs-old.
